In 1963 Ian began working as a concrete contractor. Since this time he has grown the business to become Hawkes Bay’s “go to” concrete contracting firm for residential, community and civil concreting jobs.

Ian Dick

Having a large family has motivated me to work hard and be successful. Ian Dick Concrete Contractors is co-owned by myself, my son Greg and my nephew Peter. Between the three of us we have over 100 years’ experience pouring concrete in Hawkes Bay. Our extensive client base includes many Napier and Hastings residents, Napier City, Hastings District and Central Hawkes Bay Councils, Hawkes Bay schools and community organisations and several national roading firms.

I am very proud of my company’s ongoing reputation for providing high quality work and am dedicated to investing back into the company making sure that Ian Dick Concrete Contractors is kept current with plant and machinery, technology, legislation and service expectations.

Greg Dick

I began working with Dad during my high school years and joined the business on a full time basis in the mid 1980s. I work alongside our staff each day managing their performance and making sure that our clients receive the quality job they deserve from us.

Pete Witkowski

I am a fully qualified carpenter and in 1995 when I moved to Napier from Wellington with my family, I was given the opportunity to join the company and switch from the building industry to concrete construction. My carpentry skills have been put to very good use over the years and like my cousin Greg, I work on the tools with our staff interacting with our clients at the “frontline”.

OUR TEAM

We employ on average a dozen full-time Concrete workers, several of whom have been working with us for well over twenty years and in some cases thirty! Their experience along with the fact that both Greg and Pete work in a hands on capacity with our staff ensures a top quality end product for our clients. Over the years, many of Ian’s sons, daughters and grandchildren have worked within the business, currently his daughter Lisa runs the office and administrative side of the business.
